Sustainability in flooring is far more than just a trend — it’s a responsibility that begins with material selection and continues through every stage of production and use. At Futura Floors, we believe that a truly sustainable floor must meet the highest standards throughout its entire lifecycle — from responsible forestry and energy-efficient manufacturing to low emissions and long-lasting quality.
Our commitment starts in the forest. The wood we use comes exclusively from sustainably managed forests with FSC and PEFC certification. For every tree we harvest, we plant a new one — a one-for-one principle that helps preserve biodiversity and the health of our forests. By sourcing European species like oak, ash, and beech, we reduce transport distances, lower CO₂ emissions, and support regional supply chains.
Longevity plays a key role in environmental responsibility. A floor that lasts for decades needs to be replaced far less often — which means less waste and a smaller carbon footprint. Our multi-layer wood floors combine structural stability with timeless aesthetics, designed for long-term use and minimal environmental impact.
But sustainability doesn’t stop at the surface. Many flooring products on the market are still treated with lacquers or adhesives that release harmful substances into the indoor air. Futura Floors takes a different approach: we use UV-cured lacquers with exceptionally low VOC content. They’re low-emission, durable, and safe for interior spaces — a finish that protects both your floor and your health.
We also take responsibility during production. Our facilities are equipped with underground oil and biological separation systems to ensure safe, environmentally sound waste treatment. Through modern technologies, we’ve reduced our energy costs by 90%. And by utilizing 95% of all raw materials, we generate virtually no waste.
At Futura Floors, sustainability isn’t an add-on — it’s our foundation. From forest to finished product, every step is guided by care for the environment, quality, and the future. Because a sustainable floor isn’t just beautiful — it’s responsible.
